macOS 12 Monterey or later · Apple Silicon & Intel

From a raw file to useful data.

Every tool is available in Free within the 20-row, 10-column workspace. Pro removes those data limits.

01

Find your focus

Search across columns with highlighted matches, filter by cell values, and sort by column. All three are available in the free 20-row, 10-column preview.

02

Edit without losing detail

Free supports editing, copy / paste, undo / redo, row and column tools, column-name editing, drag-to-reorder, and manual column resizing within its 20-row, 10-column workspace.

03

Open files your way

Free and Pro detect encoding and delimiters locally and automatically size columns when opening a file. Both editions allow manual encoding, delimiter, header and starting-record settings. UTF-8 remains the default save encoding.

04

Take your work with you

Free includes configurable saving, filtered-row and visible-column saving, exports and printing within its first 20 data rows and 10 columns. Pro removes only those row and column limits. Excel output includes styled content, adjusted widths and header filters.

Try it free. Upgrade once.

CSV Pilot Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. No recurring fee.

The final price and currency are displayed by Apple before purchase. Free includes every feature within 20 data rows and 10 columns; Pro removes only these row and column limits. Memory and output safety limits still apply. Column headers and line breaks inside a cell do not count as extra data rows.

Your purchase, restored.

In Help → Restore Purchases, open purchase management and select Restore Purchases using the Apple Account that made the purchase. Apple verifies eligibility. A refund or revocation may remove Pro access; refunds are handled by Apple.

Performance & output limits

User-reported reading tests succeeded with 5,000, 100,000 and 1,000,000 data rows, each with 100 columns. These are reading tests, not guarantees for editing, saving, exporting or printing at those sizes. Actual performance depends on your Mac, available memory, file size, cell contents and other running applications; your own results take precedence.

PDF export and printing support up to 250,000 data cells (data rows × columns, excluding column headers) and 1,000 columns. With 100 columns, this allows at most 2,500 data rows. Pro does not remove these safety limits. Reduce the table size or use CSV / Excel output within its limits. Very wide tables may produce small, less readable text.

Excel supports at most 1,048,575 data rows plus one header row and 16,384 columns per sheet. A successfully opened CSV is not a guarantee of successful export; exporting can require additional memory and time.

Above 100,000 data cells, undo and redo are disabled to reduce memory use. Column filter choices sample up to 10,000 rows on large tables and show at most 200 distinct values per column and may not include every value.

Your files stay on your Mac.

CSV contents, cell edits and search queries are processed locally and are not uploaded to the developer. No developer account, advertising or cross-app tracking is built into the app. Apple handles purchases.

A few things worth knowing.

What can I do without Pro?

Use every feature within 20 data rows and 10 columns, including editing, renaming and reordering columns, custom import and save options, filtered saving, exports and printing. The initial workspace retains its demo data. Pro removes only the row and column limits. A truncated preview cannot overwrite the original file.

Does it support both Intel and Apple Silicon?

Yes. The macOS Universal build supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs running macOS 12 or later. CSV Pilot is a macOS application, not an iOS application.

Can I work offline?

CSV file processing is local. Buying or restoring Pro requires Apple services; verified purchase access is managed by StoreKit.

Which languages are supported?

The app interface is English. This website is available in English, Chinese and Japanese. CSV contents, column names and file names are preserved as they appear in your files. Native macOS controls follow your system language settings.

How does automatic encoding detection work?

Open defaults to Auto. CSV Pilot checks Unicode byte-order marks, validates UTF-8 and guesses supported legacy encodings from a local sample. Detection is not guaranteed; Japanese text, for example, may be stored in GBK. The encoding used is shown after opening. Both Free and Pro allow manual import settings, and the detected encoding is the initial save setting. UTF-8 remains the default save encoding. Original column order and empty columns are preserved.

Does automatic column sizing scan the whole file?

No. It runs once when opening, measuring headers and up to 32 sampled records per column with Canvas, with a reduced sample budget for wide tables. Multiline samples use the widest measured line. Data columns are bounded to 80–360 pixels; sampled text is capped at 256 characters, so some long or unsampled values may be truncated on screen, not in the data. Search, sort and editing do not rerun sizing. Manual column resizing is available in Free.
